Where Jesus Walked: The Holy Land Experience

Dr. Paul Chappell

I looked forward to this trip for months. We spent eight days in the Holy Land seeing places I had only read about in the Bible, and I wanted to see everything I could in that time. From the time our plane touched down in Tel Aviv to the time we departed to come back to the US, I felt spiritually refreshed. At every location we could picture the Bible brought to life. From the top of Mount Carmel we read about Elijah challenging the prophets of Baal and praying for fire from God. We walked through the ruins of Caesarea and envisioned the Apostle Paul defending his faith to King Agrippa. We visited the birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem, though it’s not the same as it was before. The quiet pastoral town has become a busy city. In 2,000 years, much of Israel has changed.
