Auditorium Expansion & New Driveway

QUESTION
Why and how will Lancaster Baptist Church take the next step in its campus development—an expanded auditorium and new driveway?

The “why” is answered this way: because of what we believe. We have seen tremendous fruit in recent days as lives have been transformed by the Gospel and as new Christians continue to grow in their faith. Once again we find ourselves with overflowing facilities greatly in need of expansion. In order to continue to fulfill the Great Commission in our community and around the world, we must have the space for new Christians to grow in the Word of God. Great convictions precede great actions.

As for the “how?” We know it won’t be by our economy. Unemployment is high, government deficits are high, and economic recovery is slow. In the midst of national decline and unprecedented challenges, God gave the prophet Zechariah these words, “Not by might, nor by power, but my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” There are three ways we can attempt to do the work of God: We can trust our own strength and wisdom. We can borrow the resources of the world. Or we can depend on the power of God.

MULTIPLE NEEDS ADDRESSED
We are faced with several challenges of capacity. But we are asking God to provide for two projects that will meet them all.

CAMPUS NEEDS CAMPUS PROJECTS
Traffic bottlenecks after services at driveways. New four-lane divided and landscaped campus entry.
Seats filled at every service. Chairs set up every Sunday night. 1,000 seats added in expanded auditorium with wrap-around balcony.

Lobbies packed before and after services. Multiple lobbies and wrap-around hallways added.
Nurseries brimming with babies and young children. New nurseries conveniently located for young families.
Every classroom is used nearly every day of the week. Six well-equipped classrooms added.
