One way to encourage your congregation to bring in their friends is to have a “Friend Day” Sunday service. It’s something everyone can do. No soulwinning training is required. It’s as simple as saying, “Our church is having a ‘friend day,’ and I thought of you. Would you be my guest that day?”

Love Your Neighbor

The purpose of Love Your Neighbor Week is to point your community to the Lord Jesus Christ through your actions. With each act of kindness, follow up with a simple reminder of God’s love—a card that says “God loves you” and has our church’s name and contact information on it.

Community Connection

One of the great cultivation tools available for personal outreach is a community newsletter—a publication from your ministry just for the people in your area. It allows you to give the Gospel to everyone in your community, even those living in neighborhoods you may not be able to reach by door-to-door evangelism.

God wants His house filled, and everyone is welcome. We should not be satisfied until we find someone—anyone—whom we can bring to the Master’s feast.

Uncertainty

Uncertainty is a terrible feeling. Yet it best describes the spiritual state of most people. When asked if they would go to Heaven if they died, most people will answer, “I hope so.” Thank God that we have a Saviour that can make salvation certain and a Bible that tells us for sure.

Spiritually speaking, many well-meaning people have built their homes on a sandy foundation. They have put their trust in the sandy foundations of good works, sincerity, religion, and baptism, which can never get them into Heaven. There are millions of families that need a real, solid foundation that provides strength and stability for their lives.
