West Coast Baptist College was founded for the single purpose of training laborers for the Lord’s harvest. Every class, chapel, and conference is specifically designed to better equip the young men and women for the Lord’s work. The staff and faculty understand the great trust pastors and parents place in them when a young person leaves home for Bible college. The college simply builds on the foundation of the local church.
In 1995, Lancaster Baptist Church voted unanimously to expand the church’s ministry by opening the doors of West Coast Baptist College. With God’s help, WCBC continues to be a leading choice of young people from around the world.
We still believe God can send revival. God’s heart to seek and save the lost is as passionate as it has ever been. He is still using surrendered Christians to make an eternal difference for the cause of Christ.
It is important to receive college instruction from an institution and leaders that share your values and convictions. West Coast Baptist College seeks to build upon the foundation that pastors and parents have begun. Students take courses such as Baptist History, Bible Doctrines, Apologetics, and History of Revival.
West Coast is focused on training future pastors, missionaries, evangelists, music leaders, educators, and ministry workers. Students not only learn doctrine from their instructors but also go soulwinning with them and see the Christian life in practice. Nearly 3,000 graduates have learned and practiced effective soulwinning with this plan.
At West Coast, not only do the students receive quality academics, they also experience a vibrant local church ministry first-hand at Lancaster Baptist Church. If students miss seeing dynamic soulwinning and personal discipleship for four years, they are unlikely to implement such service when they enter the ministry.
Faculty and staff at West Coast do more than just teach and train. They pour their heart and soul into students. They are preparing students for more than graduation. They are preparing them for a lifetime of fruitful service for Christ.
You do not have to choose between receiving a quality academic education and experiencing dynamic practical local church ministry.
Worship services, chapels, and special events are centered on the preaching of the Word of God and feature hymns and biblical, Christ-honoring music. Students have the opportunity to participate in the college choir, orchestra, and special music groups.
